Women’s Cross Country Finishes In Fourth At Army Invitational
Lia Cross places eighth in first collegiate 6k

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Colgate women’s cross country team finished fourth out of five teams at the Army Invitational at the West Point Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.

In her first collegiate 6k, freshman Lia Cross (Skaneateles, N.Y.) finished in eighth place with a time of 23:58 while senior Joanne Campbell (Waterville, N.Y.) finished in 24:23 taking 20th place. Emily Tansey (44th), Jessica Dunton (46th), Anna Shaver (50th), Julia Barker (57th) and Lauren Kerensky (60th) also finished for the Raiders.  

Cornell finished in first with a score of 21 points. Army took second with 64 points, followed by Bucknell (66), Colgate (101), and Holy Cross (144).

The Raiders travel to Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 28 to run in the Paul Short Invitational on the Lehigh University campus.
