RAIDERS FINISH SIXTH AT PATRIOT LEAGUE
INDOORS CHAMPIONSHIPS Feb. 17, 2002 Westpoint, NY - The Colgate women's track team finished sixth place with a total of 51 points at this weekend's Patriot League Indoors Championships. The Raiders had several record breaking finishes this weekend. Maura McCusker, who took home Track Performer of the Meet Honors, finished first in the mile run with a time of 4:47.70. Her time is just .49 seconds from a school record. McCusker also finished first in the 1000 meter run with a Patriot League record time of 2:53.85 with teammate Jenny McCarthy close behind, finishing second with a time of 2:55.82. The women's distance medley relay took a second place finish with a final time of 12:18.5. Freshman Beth Stephenson took second place in the long jump with a jump of 5.56 meters, a school record. Freshman Nolana Quince had a strong showing at the championships with a fifth place triple jump finish and an impressive third place finish in the indoor pentathlon. Quince's earned 2986 points in that race, a Colgate freshman record and earning her the second place in Colgate's overall record books. Complete Results of Competition
