Track & Field Take Third at Cornell Tournament Raiders capture three first place finishes

RELEASE Ithaca, N.Y. – The Colgate Women’s Track Team finished third at Cornell this weekend. Freshman Sarah Hildebrand (Fairport, N.Y) paced the Raiders with a first place finish in the 3000m run (10:23.01). Sophomore Beth Stephenson (Hyannis, MA) also brought home top honors with a mark of 17'11.0 in the long jump. Teammate Lisa Germain (Queensbury, N.Y.) followed close behind jumping 17'10.25 on her way to a second place finish. Nolana Quince (Syracuse, N.Y) came in first in the women's pentathlon with 3160 points, while freshman Emily Thompson (Billerica, MA) filled the fourth spot with 2662. Other point scorers for Colgate were Julie Stephenson (Hyannis, MA) finishing 5th in the 60M high hurdles, and Germain who took sixth place with a mark of 37'01.75 in the triple jump. Shannon O'Hagan (Sarnia, Ont.) took 4th in the high jump, while Andria Graham (Mississaugua, Ont.) and Beth Stephenson took fourth and 6th respectively in the 500M dash. The Raiders return to action on Friday,
January 31st as they participate in the Husky Invitational at the Reggie
Lewis Center.
