COLLEGE PARK, M.D. – The Lady Raiders competed in the Maryland Invitational on Saturday and finished sixth out of twelve teams.  Adding to Colgate’s solid performance was the impressive personal achievement of freshman Sarah Hildebrand (Fairport, N.Y.), who broke the Colgate record for the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:45.60. The previous record was held by Eleanor Finnegan ’03 who ran it in a time of 12:17.80.

Other points scorers for Colgate included freshman Julia Barker (Rumson, N.J.), who placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:49.15, and sophomore Nolana Quince (Syracuse, N.Y.), who earned points in both the 400-meter hurdles (1:10.20) and the triple jump (11.04M), finishing ninth and fourth, respectively.

The Raiders are back in action next weekend when they travel to Lewisburg, Pa., for the Bucknell Open.
