WOMEN’S TENNIS TEAM RECEIVES ITA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONORS
August 23, 2000
HAMILTON, N.Y. - The
Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the teams
that have met its criteria for ITA All-Academic Team at the
NCAA Division I level for the 1999-2000 season.
The ITA All-Academic Team award
is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade
point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible
student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA eligibility
form and have competed in one or more matches are averaged
into the cumulative grade point average.
Colgate finished the 1999-2000
academic year with a 3.28 grade point average led by Crystal
Hetem (3.92) and Lorraine Coulter (3.84).
“I am very happy that our
team received this award, it shows the commitment and the
effort that the women’s team displayed all year both on and
off the courts,” head coach Bob Dallis said.
