Army’s Paul Peck chosen as Coach of the Year

Bethlehem, Pa.  -- Army and Colgate University combined to take eight of the possible 12 positions on the 2001 All-Patriot League Women’s Tennis team, which was selected by the League’s head coaches.

Army, the 2001 Patriot League champions, placed senior Tournament MVP Cheryl Hamilton and sophomore Annie Collier on both the singles team and as one of the doubles combinations.  Hamilton earns her second singles and third doubles selection, while this is Collier’s second singles and doubles honor.  The Hamilton/Collier selection was a consensus vote among the coaches.

Colgate sophomores Lauren Erikson and Jenny Buntman were selected to the singles squad.  Buntman was also selected with teammate Lorraine Coulter to the doubles team.  Buntman picks up her second singles and the Buntman/Coulter combination their second doubles All-League selection.

Lehigh freshman Rachel Samson earns a place on the singles team with a consensus vote of the coaches.  Junior teammate Erica Feinman joins Samson as an All-League doubles combination.  This is Feinman’s second doubles All-League selection.

Rounding out the singles team is Lafayette senior Meghan Rowe, who earns her first All-League selection.

Army head coach Paul Peck was chosen by his peers as the 2001 Patriot League women’s tennis coach of the year.  This the third-straight year and fourth time overall Peck has received the honor.
