RED RAIDERS VICTORIUS IN BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY IN THE PATRIOT LEAGUE 

Hamilton, NY (4/1) - After dominating the Patriot League Fall individual tournament, the Colgate University women's tennis team set the tone for the League tournament narrowly defeating the 2000 champion Army 4-3 on Saturday.

In a match between the two favorites to take the league title, Lauren Erikson proved to be one of the deciding factors recovering after dropping the first set 6-1 at No. 1 singles.  Following a brief conference with coach Bob Dallis, Erikson played immaculate tennis to seal the victory in the second and third sets, 6-1, 6-4.  Lorraine Coulter and Lindsey Suffredini also posted an exciting victory at No. 2 doubles slot, 9-7.  

Colgate remains undefeated in Patriot League play (2-0) and squares off against Lehigh on Saturday, April 7th.
