COLGATE WOMEN'S TENNIS
WINS SEVEN MATCHES AT CORNELL OUTDOOR TOURNAMENT ITHACA, NY – The Colgate women's tennis team was victorious in seven of its 24 matches at the Cornell Outdoor Tournament. Colgate won four of its eight doubles matches, and three singles matches. Saturday Colgate won two matches. Allison Grabler defeated Jennifer Liu (Cornell), 6-3, 6-2 in D-Flight singles. Grabler and her partner Jessica Fede downed Sargent and Konstand (Syracuse), 9-7. Colgate found a little more success on Sunday, picking up wins in five matches. Freshman Natasha Eno won 6-1, 6-2 over Wei Ming Leong (Syracuse), in C-Flight singles. Sheila Rao defeated Trish Sargent (Syracuse), 6-1, 6-0, in D-Flight singles. In A-Flight doubles Colgate won both its matches on Sunday. The team of Emily Wenink and Lindsey Suffredini downed Kokubu and Wang (Cornell), 8-4. Jamie Maldrow and Eno defeated Sternberg and Tallent (Cornell), 8-6. Lauren Erickson and Rao were victorious over Chiu and Takeuchi (Cornell), 8-4, in B-Flight doubles. 2002 Cornell Outdoor Tournament Results
