COLGATE STRUGGLES IN FLORIDA WITH 1-3 RECORD
FLORIDA – The Colgate women's tennis team traveled to Florida for spring break and returned to New York with a 1-3 showing in the Sunshine State. The Raiders' only win came against Patriot League foe Lafayette, 4-3. Tash Eno defeated Shannon Rowe 6-3, 6-1 at the number three singles position. Jess Fede downed Monika Serrano 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 at number four and Sheila Rao took care of Ali Kelley 6-4, 6-4. Colgate won all three doubles matches to seal the 4-3 victory. Rao teamed with Lauren Erikson for a 8-2 win over Lily Fardshisheh and Rowe. Marissa Alikpala and Emily Wenink won at number two doubles, while Jamie Maldow and Lindsey Suffredini were victorious at number three doubles. In other matches, Colgate fell to Northwood University 4-3, with Northwood earning the doubles point to clinch the win. The Raiders also dropped a 6-1 decision to Rutgers and a 5-2 score to Broward County Community College.
