RAIDERS THUMP ALBANY, WIN THIRD MATCH IN A ROW
ALBANY, NY – The Colgate women enjoyed a victory over Albany on Friday night, coasting to a 7-0 pasting. Lauren Erickson was one of four Raiders to win each of her matches. In singles, Erickson won her No.1 match with Violeta Petijevic 6-2, 7-6 (2). She then teamed with Sheila Rao to defeat the No.1 doubles pairing of Petijevic and Marisa Berley 8-5. Rao was also victorious in her No.4 singles match, defeating Krista Babiarz 6-2, 6-3. Tash Eno was also a strong performer for the Raiders on the night, winning her No.2 singles match against Courtney Michels 6-3, 6-2, and then doubling with Lindsay Suffredini to win their No.3 doubles match against Babiarz and Reeba Miller easily, 8-1 the final score. Suffredini also won in singles, downing Alex Berley 6-2, 6-1 in their No.5 match. In No.3 singles, it was Jamie Maldow helping the Raiders' cause. Maldow dominated Marisa Berley 6-0, 6-1. Also winning for the Raiders were Allison Stoloff, in No.6 singles, and Marissa Alikpala and Emily Wenink, in No.2 doubles. Stoloff prevailed over Miller, 6-4, 6-1, while the duo of Alikpala and Wenink got past Michels and Alex Berley, 8-2 the final score. With the victory, the Raiders improve to 9-6 on the year. The Colgate women will now return home to host American on Sunday, April 13th. The matches are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Colgate vs. Albany Match Results
