Raiders Trounce Binghamton 6-1 February 22, 2002 HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate women's tennis team improved to 6-3 on the season trouncing Binghamton University 6-1, Saturday at Sanford Fieldhouse. The Raiders have won six of their last seven matches heading into their first Patriot League competition, Saturday February 23 against Bucknell. The Raiders swept doubles competition as Lauren Erickson and Lindsay Sine continued their domination at double defeating the Binghamton duo of Erin Monaco and Alexis Brill handidly at 8-2 to improve to a perfect 8-0 in doubles competition. Lindsey Suffredini and Emily Wenink picked up a win downing Grace Wu and Amy Weissberg 8-6 while Marissa Alikpala and Jaime Maldow defeated Kristin Jobe and Amy Linda 8-5. In singles competition, freshman Marissa Alikpala defeated Binghamton's Wu 6-3, 6-1 improving to 6-2 at the No.1 singles slot. Erikson, Suffredini, Maldow and Ali Grabler each picked up singles victories while Jessica Fede dropped the Raiders lone match 6-4, 6-2 to Binghamton's Amy Weissberg. SINGLES
