Please note the following NCAA regulations relating to a
Division I Collegiate Institution responding to your e-mail
request:
1) Telephone calls to a prospective student-athlete (and
their parents) may not be made prior to July 1 (August 15 in
the sport of football) following the completion of the
prospect's junior year in high school.
2) Recruiting materials may not be provided to a
prospective student-athlete (and their parents) until
September 1 at the beginning of the prospect's junior year.
For purposes of this legislation, an electronically
transmitted correspondence (i.e., e-mail, fax) is considered
general correspondence and is permissible after September 1 at
the beginning of the prospect's junior year.
Please consider this when requesting information from an
institution. Including information about yourself (i.e., year
in school, mailing address) will enable a coach to respond to
your inquiry within the parameters of NCAA legislation.
