Meghan Maguire, a 2002
graduate of St. Lawrence University returns for her second
season as assistant coach under Scott Wiley.
Maguire carries distinguished honors from her
playing days and carries them over to teaching everyday. Each of
the four seasons she was a member of the ECAC all-academic team.
She was named to the ECAC North all-star team in 2001 and made
the ECAC second team her senior season.
Meghan had served as a counselor for eight
years at Paul Vincent’s Dynamic Skating in Boston.
Prior to playing for St. Lawrence, Maguire
played for Kimball Union Academy where she was a captain of the
soccer and hockey teams. She then went on to St. Lawrence on an
athletic scholarship.
She graduated from the Canton, N.Y. based
school with a double degree in English literature and
Psychology.
Meghan came immediately to Colgate and
became the assistant coach in 2002. Her excellent defensive
skills she displayed in college carried over with her to the
coaching aspect during the 2002-03 season. She has been very
instrumental in the recruiting process for the 2003-04 season.
