COLGATE ADVANCES TO ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP

MIDDLEBURY, Vermont - Colgate will make its first appearance in the ECAC Championship after a 1-0 win over Williams in the semifinals. The Red Raiders will take on Middlebury for the title tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.

The game was scoreless until the 16:13 mark of the second period when Colgate's Lauren Pufahl converted a breakaway with a shot to the bottom right corner of the net. Both teams had great opportunities to score but Monelle Quevillon of Williams and Jen Butraw of Colgate were both stellar in net.

Burtraw made 22 saves in goal for Colgate for her ninth shutout of the season, while Quevillon made 28 saves in goal for Williams.
