RED RAIDERS REMAIN UNBEATEN IN ECAC DIVISION III HEADING INTO SHOWDOWN AGAINST MIDDLEBURY

HAMILTON, N.Y..-- Colgate recorded a weekend sweep of ECAC Division III action with an explosive 11-1 victory against Trinity on Sunday afternoon.

Nine players recorded goals including Kelly Roos (2), Lauren Pufahl (2), Heather Murphy, Stephanie Sand, Nicole Lehrhoff, Toby Mandel, Charlotte Davet, Charlotte Hennigar and Eve Ledyard.

Murphy finished with five points (1-4-5) on the afternoon to lead all scorers, while Sand (1-2-3) and Davet had three points apiece(1-2-3). Roos (2-0-2), Pufahl (2-0-2), Lehrhoff (1-1-2) and Schofield (0-2-2) all registered two points on the afternoon.

Colgate was in complete control holding a 4-0 lead 10:23 into the second period, but Trinity scored its first goal of the game three minutes later.

The Bantams thought they were about to mount a comeback, but Colgate wasn't to happy about having it's 213-minute shutout streak broken and erupted for three more second period goals to hold a 7-1 lead after two. The Red Raiders continued their scoring onslaught with four markers in the final period.

Lindsay Barton stopped 10 of 11 shots to record her second win of the season improving to 2-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in ECAC DIII.
