UNBEATEN IN LEAGUE
MILFORD, Conn.-- Colgate got two goals and one
assist from sophomore Heather Murphy and cruised
toa 5-0 win over the Sacred Heart Pioneers at the
Milford Ice Pavilion. Milford, Conn., native
Kelly Roos had an assist in her return to the
Pavilion.
The Red Raiders (14-2-0, 11-0-0) scored twice
on the power-play within the final two minutes of
the second period to give them a 4-0 lead heading
into the final period.
Casey Schofield tapped in a deflection from
the point on a 5-on-3 power-play advantage and
Annie Stover stuffed in a rebound sitting on the
far post to put the game out of reach.
Freshman goalie Jen Burtraw got the shutout in
net turning away all 28 shots she faced for her
sixth shutout of the season.
