COLGATE CRUISES TO 7-1 VICTORY
AGAINST BATES

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Colgate women's ice hockey team completed a weekend sweep in ECAC DIII action with a 7-1 victory against Bates College behind a hat-trick from sophomore forward Annie Stover on Sunday afternoon.

Colgate jumped out to a 5-0 lead with markers from five different players, including four goals in the first 4:49 of the game. Charlotte Hennigar, Stover, Alden McNally, Eve Ledyard and Stephanie Sand all recorded goals in the first period.

Stover scored the final two goals for the Red Raiders at 15:07 of the second and 18:07 of the third.

Colgate had five players record multiple-point efforts on the day including, Stover (3-0-3), Hennigar (1-2-3), Sand (1-2-3), Heather Murphy (0-3-3) and Charlotte Davet (0-2-2).

Mandi Swan recorded the lone Bates goal 1:39 into the third periodon helpers from Melissa Ostuni and Jess Roll.

Lindsay Barton got the start for Colgate recorded five saves, while Alexis Ramenovsky recorded 23 saves for Bates. The Red Raiders hit the road on Jan. 29 at Connecticut College at 7 p.m. and Sacred Heart on Jan. 30 at 3 p.m., while Bates returns home for games against Vermont on Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. and Middlebury on Jan. 30 at 1:30 p.m.
