HAMILTON, NY- The Colgate women's ice hockey team held its annual banquet Sunday evening at the Seven Oaks Clubhouse.  Head Coach Scott Wiley, Assistant coach Meghan Maguire and friend of the team Marian Lefevre handed out post-season awards and unveiled the 2003-04 captains.

The captains for the 2003-04 season will be junior Chelsey Rhodes and senior Caitlin Hornyak as assistant captains, and senior Avery McGlenn will wear the "C" on her jersey next season.

Freshman Allison Paiano brought home two awards, including the 2002-03 rookie of the year and offensive most valuable player.

Goaltender Rebecca Lahar was named defensive most valuable player for Colgate.  She also took home four ECAC goaltender of the week honors.

Freshman Carly McNaughton was given the sportsmanship award for the Raiders.

Seniors Toby Mandel and Nicole Lehrhoff were awarded the coaches award for interest, attitude and dedication.

Freshman goaltender Melanie Barclay took home the final award for most improved player.

Colgate finished the 2002-03 season with a 12-21-1 record and a 4-11-1 mark in the conference.  The Raiders kick off the 2003-04 season October 10, when they host Findlay for a weekend series.
