HAMILTON, NY- The Princeton Tigers downed the Colgate Raiders on Sunday by a 6-1 score thanks to Andrea Kilbourne’s hat-trick and assist.

 Princeton jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with a flurry of first period of goals.  Heather Jackson netted her fifth of the season at 4:49 on a breakaway.  Just 10 seconds later Sarah Butsch tallied her third of the season from April Brown and Katherine Maglione.  Then at 9:23, Kilbourne scored her tenth of the season from Gretchen Anderson to put the Tigers up 3-0 at the end of one period.

 The two teams skated to a scoreless second period with Colgate having its best chance when Maura Kehoe nailed the post to the right of goalie Sarah Ahlquist.  Rebecca Lahar made 13 saves in the period.

 Princeton notched three more goals in the third period, including two more from Kilbourne. 

 Colgate cut the lead to 4-1 when Becky Irvine tallied her seventh of the season at 2:35 of the third, but Colgate could get no closer.

 The Raiders were outshot 65-10 and Rebecca Lahar made 59 stops in net for Colgate.  It marked the seventh time this season that Lahar has made 40 or more stops in one game.

 Colgate finished 0-6 on the power play, while the Tigers went 2-6.

 Colgate now 10-16 and 2-8 in the ECAC will go on the road to take on Vermont and Dartmouth this weekend.
