 Maguire Named Colgate Women’s Hockey Assistant Coach

HAMILTON, N.Y. - First-year head coach Scott Wiley has named Meghan Maguire an assistant coach for the Colgate University women's ice hockey program.

"I'm very pleased that Meghan will be joining our staff," Wiley said. "She comes from an established and successful hockey program where she was a key contributor and leader."

Maguire graduated from St. Lawrence University in May with a double major in English Literature and Psychology. She was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain of the women's ice hockey team that reached the Division I NCAA Championship in 2001. In addition, Maguire was a four-year ECAC All-Academic Team selection, ECAC Second Team All-Star in 2001-02 and an ECAC North All-Star in 2001. She also received St. Lawrence's Most Valuable Player Award during the 1999-2000 season.

She
has additional experience as a U.S. College Hockey Online rink reporter in 2001-02 and in the Canton, N.Y. Volunteer Fire Dept.

Maguire graduated from Kimball Union Academy in 1998 where she was a captain for the ice hockey and soccer teams.
