Anderson opened the scoring just 2:20 into the game when she slipped an unassisted tally past Raider freshman netminder Rebecca Lahar (Vienna, Va.). Deland increased the Tigers' lead to two when she took a pass from freshman April Brown (Savage, Minn.) for a goal at 6:03. After getting out the first period down just 2-0 despite being out-shot 8-0, the Raiders managed to score on their first shot of the game at 9:34 of the second stanza. Freshman Cheryl Setchell (Sydney, N.S.) crossed the puck to classmate Kristin Cirbus (Jamestown, N.Y.) who scored on a 2-on-1 rush to get Colgate on the board. Deland restored Princeton's lead to two at 11:58, with senior Jessica Fedderly (Wyoming, Mich.) getting the helper. Anderson put the game out of reach less than two minutes later when sophomore Susan Hobson (Mississauga, Ont.) set her up for the score. Overall, Princeton out-shot the Raiders 31-5. Lahar made 27 saves in the loss, while the Tigers' goalie Sarah Ahlquist (South St. Paul, Mich.) had to make just four stops for the win. Princeton makes the short drive to Ithaca to take on Cornell on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 4 p.m., while Colgate hosts Yale at 4 p.m. at Starr Rink.
