The first goal of the game came at 5:53 in the first period when Setchell snuck the puck in between Vermont goaltender Tiffany Hayes' (New Milford, Conn.) skates. Freshmen Kristin Cirbus (Jamestown, N.Y.) and Amanda Barre (Grafton, Ont.) had the assists. Barre scored the second goal at 13:46 of the same period, with senior Heather Smith (Lake Bluff, Ill.) tallying the assist. Setchell scored her second goal at 12:38 in the second period and Cirbus and Barre added the helpers. Setchell's third goal, a short-handed tally, came at 15:24 in the third period, as she won the face-off, streaked down the ice, and deked the goalie to stuff the puck in the left hand corner over the netminder's shoulder. Rookie Maura Kehoe (Chelsea, Que.) and sophomore Caitlin Hornyak (North Andover, Mass.) set up the final goal of the game, which was scored at 16:34 of the third period by senior Heather Murphy (St. Paul, Minn.). Raider rookie netminder Rebecca Lahar (Vienna, Va.) had five saves for the night, while Vermont's Hayes had 39. Colgate, who improves to 11-13-2 and moves into seventh place in the ECAC-North with a 2-7-2 record, hosts No. 5 Dartmouth on Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. game, while the Catamounts travel to Cornell for a 4:00 p.m. bout.
