CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Freshman Amanda Barre (Grafton, Ont.) was named the ECAC-North Rookie of the Week after she turned in a six-point performance against league rivals Yale and Princeton on Friday and Saturday.

With a hat-trick and two assists against the Bulldogs, Barre led the Raiders to a 5-5 tie, scoring the game-tying goal at 13:35 of the third period.  Against the Tigers, Barre scored Colgate's only goal of a 6-1 loss.

Barre's linemates, freshmen Cheryl Setchell (Sydney, N.S.) and Kristin Cirbus (Jamestown, N.Y.) both were named to the league's honor roll, as the line combined for 15 points on the weekend.  Setchell assisted on every Colgate goal in the tie with Yale, while Cirbus added a pair of goals and two helpers against the Bulldogs.

The Raiders will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day when they take on Vermont on Friday, January 15, at 7 p.m. at Starr Rink.
