HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth women's hockey team scored six goals in the first period as the Big Green defeated Colgate 10-1 in an ECAC-North matchup at Thompson Arena on Friday night.

Dartmouth dominated the game, outshooting the Raiders 52-18.

Carly Haggard opened the scoring with a goal 2:28 into the first, and Cheryl Muranko quickly made it 2-0 as she scored just 12 seconds later.

Alana BreMiller followed with a rocket shot from the point at 8:08, before Muranko and Haggard each added their second goals of the period, at 8:51 and 10:05.  Kim McCullough made the score 6-0 heading into the first intermission when she netted a shot at 11:30.

Colgate came out looking much stronger in the second, and the Raiders scored their only goal when Katie Koch (Exeter, N.H.) knocked in a pass from Katie Breen (North Andover, Mass.) with 11:24 to go in the period.

But Dartmouth's Louise Pietrangelo made sure the Big Green continued its offensive barrage.  She tallied two goals just a minute apart in the second, at 14:21 and 15:21.

McCullough notched her second of the night on a power play less than two minutes into the final stanza, and Kristin King closed out the scoring with a goal at 18:35.

Amy Ferguson played the first two periods for Dartmouth, tallying 11 saves and surrendering one goal.  Kate Cochrane, playing for the first time this season, was between the pipes for the Big Green in the third.  Cochrane stopped all six shots that she faced.

The Raiders' Rebecca Lahar (Vienna, Va.) played all 60 minutes and had 42 saves.

Haggard had five points (2-3-5) in the game, while McCullough, Pietrangelo, King and Danielle Grundy each had three.
