Ireland In the second period, the Raiders managed to withstand an onslaught of 17 Lady Laker shots, including 8 on goal, and killed off two power plays to keep Mercyhurst off the board in the middle stanza. Junior Jennifer Jeffrey (Zurich, Ont.) put the game out of reach just 47 seconds into the final period with an unassisted tally to give her two points on the afternoon. Colgate freshman goaltender Rebecca Lahar (Vienna, Va.) made 23 saves in the loss, including 10 in the final period. For the Lady Lakers, rookie Desirae Clark (Salmo, B.C.) made nine saves to earn her second shutout of the season. The Raiders will look to avenge the loss tomorrow when they return to Mercyhurst Ice Arena for a 2 p.m. game to complete the weekend. Colgate
