Centerville, Mass. – On Thursday, the 2000-01 Women's Dvision III all-ECAC teams were announced.  Colgate took two honors as junior Heather Murphy (St. Paul, Minn.) was named to the first team, and first-year Caitlin Hornyak (Middletown, Conn.) earned a spot on the all-rookie team.

Murphy led the Red Raiders in scoring this year for the third season in a row (21-29-50, 2.00 ppg, 0.84 gpg).  The third top scorer and second top assist scorer in the ECAC, Murphy is currently a candidate for her third consecutive All-America honor.  She is tied for third place in the conference for power-play points (4-6-10), and is tied for fourth with four game-winning goals.

Hornyak led all Colgate rookies in scoring, and finished second on the team in points (15-10-25, 1.00 ppg, 0.60 gpg).  She ranks eighth in the ECAC among freshman, and is tied for 19th in overall scoring.

This afternoon, these two ECAC All-Stars will lead the Red Raiders against defending national champion Middlebury in the semifinal round of the ECAC Women's DIII Tournament.  Face-off is at 12:30 in Middlebury, Vt.
