RED RAIDERS BLANK COLBY 2-0 IN STARR February 3, 2000 Contact: Michele Kelley, Athletic Communications Student Assistant HAMILTON, N.Y. - Colby goaltender Josie Chapman stopped 33 shots in a valiant effort as the White Mules fell to Colgate 2-0. The Red Raiders opened scoring early, with their first marker coming at 2:06 of the first period.  Senior Lauren Pufahl (Huntington, N.Y.) fed a pass to sophomore Toby Mandel (Concord, Mass.), whose initial shot bounced off the back of junior Maura Crowell (Mansfield, Mass.) and into the net. With 5:06 left in the second, Colgate widened the gap as first-year Avery McGlenn (Coaldale, Alb.) scored off a feed from junior Heather Murphy (St. Paul, Minn.) and freshman Caitlin Hornyak (Middletown, Conn.). Red Raider sophomore goaltender Jen Burtraw ended the contest with eight saves, as she improves her record to 7-7-2. Colgate hosts #6 Bowdoin tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm in Starr Rink.
