HAMILTON,
N.Y. - RIT goaltender Melissa Norris stopped eight shots in the
overtime period to preserve a 1-1 tie with Colgate tonight at
Starr Rink.
The only two
goals of the game came less than five minutes apart in the
second period. Tina Bessette scored for the Tigers at
5:32 with assists by Jennie Nicholas and Jen Gorczynski.
Junior Annie Stover (Peapack, N.J.) tallied the lone
goal for the Red Raiders.
In net for
Colgate, sophomore Jen Burtraw (Brantford, Conn.)
stopped a total of 20 shots, while RIT's Norris finished the
night with 37 saves.
The Red
Raiders take to the road next weekend for their final two
regular-season ECAC games. They will play Southern Maine
on Saturday at 7 pm, and MIT Sunday at 4 pm.
