SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Colgate University's Heather Murphy netted a hat-trick, including the game-winner, en route to a 7-0 shutout by the Red Raiders over the Union Skating Dutchwomen.

In her first start of the season, junior netminder Kari Dequine recorded her second career shutout, stopping 14 Union shots. Going the distance in goal for the Dutchwomen, Victoria Elkins withstood a pelting by the Colgate offense, stopping 49 of 56 shots.

First-year Caitlin Hornyak, the leading goal-scorer for the Red Raiders, netted her sixth goal of the season nine seconds following Murphy's game-winning goal at 11:50 of the first period. Murphy then scored two in a row for the hat-trick.

Junior Annie Stover got her second of year at 10:38 to make it 5-0 Colgate. Hornyak got her second of the game at 17:41 from Murphy and freshman Katie Koch, and first-year Katie Breen netted the seventh goal for the Red Raiders to put the game away with seven seconds remaining.
