SHUTS OUT CONN. COLLEGE FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WIN IN ECAC

Hamilton, N.Y. -- Freshman Avery McGlenn had two goals and an
assist in Colgate's 6-0 shutout win over ECAC DIII foe
Connecticut College on Sunday at Starr Rink. The win
marked the Red Raiders' second straight win in the league, and
their third of the season.
Colgate's scoring began with an even
strength goal by junior Maura Crowell at 3:35 of the first
period. In the second, the Red Raiders widened their
lead to two with McGlenn's first marker at 17:56.
Beginning at 6:26 of the third, the Colgate
offense erupted for four straight points. The scoring
run began with an unassisted goal by junior Heather Murphy,
followed by a power play goal from freshman Katie Koch.
First-year Caitlin Hornyak and McGlenn finished off the
visiting Camels with the fifth and sixth goals of the game.
