COLGATE CREW RESULTS FROM PRINCETON
3-MILE CHASE Oct. 28, 2002 PRINCETON, N.J.--The Colgate University men's and women's Varsity 8 boats competed at the Princeton 3-Mile Chase on Lake Carnegie. The women's Varsity 8 placed 28th out of 33 teams in the Women's Open Eight with a time of 16:56.57. Princeton 'A' won the event with a time of 14:53.64 while Yale 'A' placed second with a time of 14:58.54. Virginia 'A' was third at 15:24.56 while Radcliffe 'A' finished fourth at 15:37.52. Cornell 'A' were fifth at 15:39.60, Boston University 'A' sixth at 15:42.40, Virginia 'B' seventh at 15:42.68, Princeton 'B' eighth at 15:46.21, Pennsylvania 'A' ninth at 15:48.78 and Yale 'B' 10th at 15:54.66. On the men's side, Colgate finished 16th out of 22 teams in Men's Heavyweight 8 with a time of 14:26.06. Cornell won the event with a time of 13:15.65. Princeton took second with a time of 13:24.49 while Navy came in third at 13:32.01. Princeton 'B' placed fourth at 13:42.63, Temple took fifth (13:47.67) Cornell 'B' sixth (13:50.42), Rutgers 'A' seventh (13:53.07) Virginia 'A' eighth (13:53.62) Georgetown 'A' ninth (13:58.98) and Yale 'A' 10th at 13:59.47. Syracuse placed 11th with a time of 14:06.29. |
