COLGATE CREW RESULTS
FROM THE AVAYA COMMUNICATION COLLEGIATE
CHAMPIONSHIP May 12, 2003

--The Colgate University men's and women's
crew teams closed out the 2002-03 season at the Avaya Communication
Collegiate Championship over the weekend.
On the women's side, Novice Metro 8, the Raiders
won a bronze medal with a third place finish out of 10 teams with a
time of 7:19.57. St. Joseph's took the gold medal with a winning time of
7:11.43 while Villanova finished second at 7:14.81.
In the second Varsity Metro 8, the Raiders placed sixth out of 10
teams with a time of 7:44.55. The University of Massachusetts won the
race with a time of 7:09.50 and Delaware came in second at 7:19.2
while West Virginia took third with a time of 7:23.22.
The men's Varsity 8 took eighth out of 18 teams with a time of
6:10.65. Michigan won the event with a time of 6:00.82 and Hobart took
second with a time of 6:03.68. Marist rounded out the medal winners
with a third place time of 6:03.78
In the men's Novice 8, the Raiders were ninth out of 17 teams with a
time of 6:28.29. Michigan won the event with a time of 6:09.1 as
Marist took second with a time of 6:13.23 and North Carolina was third with a
time of 6:17.4.
