COLGATE CREW RESULTS

CHAMPIONSHIPS

--The Colgate University men's and
women's crew teams competed at the New York State Rowing
Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
On the women's side, the Varsity 8
came in 11th out of 14 schools with a time of 7:14.6. Fordham
finished with a winning time of 7:11.6 while Buffalo came in
second at 7:11.8 and Army placed third with a time of 7:21.4.
In the women's JV 8, the Raiders took third out of eight teams
with a time of 7:28.9. Ithaca took the gold medal with a winning
time of 7:09.0 while Buffalo finished second at 7:16.1.
The Novice 8 was seventh out of 16 teams with a time of 7:16.4,
good enough for first place in the petite finals.
The men's Varsity 8 took fifth out of 12 teams with a time of
6:16.8. Dowling won the race with a time of 6:02.4 and was
followed by Hobart (6:02.2), Marist (6:09.1) and Ithaca (6:11.4).
Army finished sixth with a time of 6:24.3 to close out the heat.
In the men's Novice 8, the Raiders were fourth out of 14 teams
with a time of 6:29.7. Marist finished first with a winning time
of 6:12.5 as Army took second with a time of 6:19.5 and Buffalo
was third with a time of 6:23.0.
Colgate returns to action on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11
at the ECAC Championship in Camden, N.J. |
