Meghan Curtin Named
Patriot League Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week Freshman captures League accolades for first time this season.

RELEASE Hamilton, N.Y. – Meghan Curtin (Bronx, N.Y./Horace Mann High School), a freshman guard for the Colgate University women's basketball team, captured Patriot League Rookie of the Week accolades for the first time this season for her performance during the week of December 8-14. Curtin is the second Raider freshman to win the Rookie of the Week award this season (Devon Warwick) after helping Colgate reach the championship game at the Cyclone Classic in Ames, Iowa. In a first round victory over Centenary, the freshman guard hit on six of her 14 shots, including a 4-for-7 mark from three-point range, en route to 18 points. She also added four rebounds, two blocks and an assist versus the Ladies. In the championship game versus national contender Iowa State, Curtin had a rebound and a block in limited action. Colgate is back in action, Saturday, Dec. 21 when they play an exhibition game versus Syracuse AAU on Cotterell Court at 1 p.m. Admission is free to the public.
