Trounces Centenary, 89-63 Raiders will play Iowa State in championship game tomorrow evening.

RELEASE AMES, IOWA – Sophomore Allison Lipinski (Garfield Heights, Ohio) led all scorers as the Colgate women’s basketball team downed Centenary College, 89-63 at the Hilton Coliseum on Friday evening in the opening round of the Cyclone Classic. With the win, Colgate improves to 4-3 and will take on the host Iowa State Cyclones tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8:30 p.m. The Ladies scored the first two points of the contest on free throws before the Raiders went on a 15-0 run to take a commanding 15-2 lead at 15:35. Colgate took its largest lead of the half at the 1:58 mark, leading Centenary 44-21 before taking a 47-26 lead at the break. The second half
belonged to the Raiders who at one point held a 34 point advantage,
leading the Ladies 75-41 with
11:37 left in the game. Colgate
cruised to the 89-63 victory. Centenary (2-5) was led by Julie Daniels with 17 points. The Raiders are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8:30 p.m., as face the host Cyclones.
