Women’s Basketball
Falls to the University of New Orleans, 73-38
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEW ORLEANS, La. –The Colgate women’s basketball team fell to the University of New Orleans, 73-38, on Thursday evening at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, La. Colgate (5-6) was led by sophomores Emily Braseth (E. Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Chigozie Ozor (Ann Arbor, Mich.) who tallied seven points apiece and freshman Devon Warwick (Amesbury, Mass.) who registered six. Senior Ali Hanson (Norwalk, Iowa) led the Raiders with seven rebounds. New Orleans (2-7) was led by three players in double-digits as Monique Taylor and Joevone Markey scored 17 and 15 points, respectively while Chelsea Core added 11. The Raiders will play the final contest of their four-game away stand when they travel to Cambridge, Mass., to face Harvard on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 7:00 p.m.
