Easton, Pa. - Lafayette College (3-16, 1-5 Patriot League) outscored Colgate (9-11, 3-3) 41 to 23 in the second half to overcome a 14 point halftime deficit to earn a 72-68 Patriot League women's basketball win, Saturday at the Kirby Sports Center. 

 

The Raiders' who shot a blazing 57.7 percent from the field in the first half connected on only 9-of-28 shots in the second stanza on 32 percent shooting.    

 

Kim Costello and Colleen Fitzpatrick led Lafayette with Fitzpatrick scoring a team-high 18 points and Costello adding 14.  Both Costello and Fitzpatrick scored 10 points a piece in second half while Lindsay Meyers netted eight of her 11 points in the second half as well. 

 

The Raiders were led by 18 points a piece from Allison Lipinski and Sarah Parks.  Center Milaina Lagzdins recorded her second career double-double for Colgate on 16 points and 15 rebounds.  

 

Colgate will return to action Monday, January 28 at 7 p.m. to play Ivy League foe Harvard and then will return to Patriot League action at home, January 30 at 5:30 p.m. versus the Black Knights of Army.
