Holy Cross Handles Raiders 84-67

Hamilton, N.Y. - Holy Cross used four players in double-figures and 51.7 percent shooting from the floor to defeat Colgate 84-67 in Patriot League women's basketball action, Saturday at Cotterell Court. Holy Cross improves its league-best record to 17-6, 8-2 Patriot League, while Colgate dips to 11-14 and 5-5 in league action.
Elisa Zawadzkas led the Crusaders with 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting the field, while Maggie Fontana and Amanda Abraham chipped in with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
The Raiders had three players in double-figures and were led by Allison Lipinski's (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights) 18 points. Malissa Burke (E. Grand Rapids, Mich.) added 15 points and four assists for the Raiders while Sarah Parks (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline) chipped in with 11 points, a team-high six assists and seven rebounds. Milaina Lagzdins (Oakville, Ontario/Nelson) had a game-high 10 rebounds for Colgate.
Colgate returns to action Wednesday, February 13 for a 5:30 p.m match-up against Patriot League rival Navy at Annapolis, Maryland.
