HAMDEN, CONN. - Malissa Burke and Allison Lipinski combined to score 55 of Colgate’s 75 points to lead the Raiders to their third straight win 75-72 over Quinnipiac at Burt Kahn Court in Hamden, Conn.

Burke and Lipinski both set new career highs as Burke scored 30 points and Lipinski added 25 including five three-pointers.  Lipinski now has 35 three-point field goals this season putting her fourth on Colgate’s single season three-point scorers list.

Colgate improves to 5-5 while Quinnipiac evens out at 5-5.

Theresa Sanchez led Quinnipiac with a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds while Ashlee Kelly added 20 points and seven rebounds for the Braves.

The Raiders led by 14 points at the half as they shot 56 percent from the floor on 18-for-32 shooting including five three-point field goals.  Burke and Lipinski netted 17 points apiece in the first half.

Quinnipiac did not fade however, as they battled back to within three points with 1:22 remaining in the game.  Sara Esidore had a chance to tie the game with seven seconds remaining with a three-point shot but it found only the rim and Burke corralled in the rebound and the win for Colgate.  Esidore ended the game with eight points and six rebounds for Quinnipiac.

Raider freshman post players Leandra Fuller and Milaina Lagzdins both provided solid minutes for Colgate.  Fuller had eight points and a team high eight rebounds while Lagzdins had four points and career high four steals and shared team high rebounds with Fuller with eight boards.

Raiders return to action Friday, Dec. 21st when they travel to Binghamton.  Tip-off is set for 7:00.
