Annapolis, Md. -  After trailing by as much as 20 with 10 minutes remaining in the second half Colgate (11-15, 5-6 Patriot League) rallied to within five at 76-71 with 1:33 left behind seven second half three-point field goals, but it wasn't enough as Navy (11-13, 3-8 Patriot League) made six of eight free throws down the stretch to hold on for a 81-73 win in Patriot League action, Wednesday at Alumni Hall. 

Courtney Davidson led four Navy players in double-figures netting 22 points while Maile Shimoda added 12 points and Adrienne Roseti and Lisa Steinmetz each added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Midshipmen.

Malissa Burke (East Grand Rapids, Mich./E. Grand Rapids) led the Raiders with 22 points, including five three-point field goals, while Allison Lipinski (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights) netted 15 points shooting 5-for-8 from three point range, giving her the school freshman scoring record with 412 points so far this season.  

Colgate returns to action Saturday, February 16 at 1 p.m. when they travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell.
