Hamilton, N.Y. - For the fourth time this season, Colgate University freshman guard Allison Lipinski (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights) has earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors. Lipinski set two individual records while averaging 18.5 points per game for the Raiders in a 2-0 week to close out the regular season for the week of February 18-24.
Lipinski netted a career-high 28 points in the Raiders 94-75 win over Lafayette in their final game of the regular season on 8-for-13 shooting from three-point range.
The eight three-point field goals set a Colgate single-game record and gave Lipinski 96 threes on the season to topple the Patriot League single-season three-point field goal record, surpassing the nine-year-old mark of 93 set by Heather Donlon of Fordham in 1993.
In the Raiders 65-61 road win over conference rival Army, Lipinski netted nine points including two clutch three-pointers and played her best defense of the season in a must-win situation for Colgate with the Patriot League tournament approaching.
With her regular season ending performance, Lipinski now has 459 points, 96 three-point field goals, 32 assist, 30 steals and four individual records heading into the league tournament March 1 and 3 at The Show Place Arena.
Lipinski is the Raiders' leading scorer and is fourth in the Patriot League averaging 15.8 points per game and holds the school's freshman scoring record with 459 points, school single-game three-point field goal record with eight, and the Colgate and Patriot League single-season three-point field goal record with 96.
