Hamilton, N.Y. - After shooting her way through the Colgate's freshman scoring record with 459 points and a single-season three-point field goal record, Allison Lipinski (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights) took aim at two more... and connected in the Raiders triumphant 94-75 win over Lafayette in their regular season closer, Saturday, February 23.
With her career-high 28 points against Lafayette, Lipinski set a new Patriot League single-season record for three-point field goals made in a season with 96 on the heels of her Colgate and Cotterell Court single-game record of eight three's on 8-for-13 shooting from long range. With her regular-season ending performance, Lipinski now has 459 points, 96 three-point field goals, 32 assists, 30 steals and five individual records.
Lipinski, who has scored in double-figures 24 times this season, is the Raiders leading scorer and is fourth in the Patriot League averaging 15.8 points per game as a freshman.
Colgate, 13-16 overall and 7-7 in the Patriot League, returns to action Friday, March 1 at Show Place Arena, located in Upper Marlboro, Md. in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League tournament. The Raiders, who finished tied for fourth in the Patriot League regular season, will take on fourth-seeded American University as the fifth seed by virtue of a tie-breaker at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available through the Show Place Arena at 301-952-7900 or through the Colgate ticket office at 315-228-7600.
