Hamilton, N.Y. - With only 15 games completed in the 2001-02 Colgate University Women's Basketball season, freshman Allison Lipinski (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights) has wasted little time making an impression, setting a new Colgate single-season record for three-point field goals in a season with 50.

Lipinski, who is shooting a solid 40 percent from three-point range, set the new mark connecting on four three-pointers in the Raiders'  79-77 loss to American University in their Patriot League opener, Wednesday night.  Lipinski shared game-high scoring honors with teammate Sarah Parks netting 17 points in the loss. The previous record of 48 was set by Michele Mancini during the 1992-93 season.

The freshman guard, who was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week on December 17, leads Colgate in scoring averaging 16 points per game, netting 3.33 three-point field goals per contest.

The Raiders have 14 regular season games left and will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for a Patriot League contest against Lehigh University, Saturday January 12 at 5:30 p.m.
