Hamilton, N.Y. - Emily Braseth (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids), a freshman forward for the Colgate University women's basketball team has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week. 

Braseth netted 12 points on 6-for-12 shooting from the floor in the Raiders' 69-65 loss to Long Island University.  It was Braseth's third double-digit scoring effort of the season. 

Braseth has started all seven games for the Raiders and is Colgate's third leading scorer averaging 9.3 points per game while grabbing a third-best 4.4 rebounds.  Braseth's best performance of the season came in Colgate's 85-70 win over Cornell when she recorded season-highs, netting 15 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing off four assists.
