STATEN ISLAND, NY—Carrie Walker and Noelle Carter both had record breaking double-doubles for Wagner as the Seahawks dropped Colgate 79-60 in a non-conference match-up.

Walker managed a career-high 15 points and 11 rebounds in the game, while Carter tallied 12 points and hauled down a career-high 14 boards for the Seahawks. High scorer for Wagner (2-4) was Deandra Teague with a career-high 16 points.

Colgate sophomore Colleen McCaffrey netted 16 points in the contest with five rebounds to round out a solid game. Jaime Glenn tallied a career-high ten points, shooting five-of-six from the floor, and added five rebounds on the night.

It looked as though Colgate (2-3) would take control in the second half, opening the period with a bucket from Frances Boone to tie the score 36-36. The Red Raiders kept the score close until Wagner took the lead on a three-pointer from Ashley Linscott at 16:44 and did not look back. The Seahawks began a 12-0 scoring run with six minutes remaining in the game, stopped only by a field goal by Sarah Parks that made the score 76-60 with under two minutes to go. Wagner added a jumper and a free-throw to its lead, handing Colgate its third straight loss on the road.

The Red Raiders shot over 90 percent from the charity stripe, but only 37 percent from the field. The Seahawks also did well at the free-throw line shooting 72 percent, and they bested Colgate with 43 percent shooting from the floor. Wagner led 36-34 at halftime.
