HAMILTON, NY – Jennifer Bayer recorded a double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to help Lafayette come up with a big win over Colgate, 76-49.

Colleen Fitzpatrick also managed a double-double in the game as she tallied 14 points and 10 boards, while teammate Samaiyah Council chipped in 13 points for the Leopards.

Again, the Red Raiders struggled to produce an effective offense, as no Colgate players reached double digits for the second straight game.  Colleen McCaffrey led the team with eight points and five rebounds.

Lafayette opened with an 11-0 run to start the game and didn’t look back.  The Leopards built a 20-point cushion with 4:43 to go in the first half, and headed into the locker room leading 45-21.

In the second half, Lafayette’s lead never dipped below a 23-point margin, and the Leopards held on for their second Patriot League win this year.

Colgate was outrebounded by Lafayette, 51-34, and the Leopards limited the Red Raiders to 35 percent shooting from the field.

Colgate drops to 1-5 in the Patriot League and 4-16 overall, while Lafayette improves to 2-4 in the conference and 6-14 on the season.
