HAMILTON, NY –
Bess Greenberg scored 27 points, hitting 5-of-7 from three-point land, to trigger Binghamton’s powerful offense in a 105-64 win over Colgate at Cotterell Court.

Three other Bearcats were in double figures as Binghamton shot 62 percent from the field, 69 percent from behind the arc, and 89 percent at the foul line.  Sarah Cartmill scored 19 points in the win, while teammates Leala Wegwerth and Brooke Kelly chipped in 18 and 17 points, respectively.

No Colgate players managed to break into double digits, but Fran Boone, Danielle Fields, and Malissa Burke each contributed nine points in the loss.  Colleen McCaffrey led the rebounding effort, grabbing a game-high nine boards for the Red Raiders.

Colgate struggled to get its offensive game running tonight, shooting only 34 percent overall and 61 percent at the free throw line.  The Red Raiders also failed to convert on three-pointers, making only 29 percent of their attempts from downtown.

The last time an opponent reached the 100-point mark was in the 1996-97 season when Canisius defeated Colgate, 114-106.  Binghamton (15-6) led 51-24 at the half, and retained its lead over Colgate (4-15) the entire game.

The Red Raiders host Lafayette at Cotterell Court on Wednesday, January 31 in a Patriot League matchup.  Game time is 5:30 p.m.
