HAMILTON, NY – Anne Tierney ripped down a game-high 16 rebounds to complement her 19 points as the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh turned back Colgate, 80-71 at Cotterell Court this afternoon.

Gina Zang had 17 points in the game for the Mountain Hawks, while Cat Nicholson and Sara Hessel chipped in 11 and 10, respectively.

First-year Malissa Burke led a valiant effort for Colgate, leading all scorers with a career-high 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting at the free throw line.  Sophomore Colleen McCaffrey recorded her third double-double this season, scoring 13 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.  Sarah Parks had 13 points as well, and contributed six boards and five assists for the Red Raiders.

Colgate has lost its last two games at home placing them at 3-13 overall and 0-3 in the Patriot League.  Lehigh improves to 10-7 on the season and 3-1 in the league.
