HAMILTON, NY – Kim Misiaszek furnished a double-double, scoring a game-high 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, to lift Quinnipiac past Colgate 71-65 in overtime.

Sara Esidore netted 12 points for the Braves, while teammate Colleen Klopp added 10 in the win.  Frances Boone led Colgate (2-6) with 15 points, all in the first half, and five steals.  Colleen McCaffrey chipped in 14 points for the Red Raiders.

Quinnipiac (3-5) maintained its lead for most of the second half, but Alison Hanson nailed a trey with 44 seconds left in regulation to bring Colgate within one point.  McCaffrey made a lay-up 12 seconds later to put the Red Raiders ahead 61-60.  Misiaszek responded for the Braves with a made free throw tying the score at 61-61.

Colgate came out strong in the overtime period with two quick buckets from Sarah Parks and Alison Hanson.  With 2:44 remaining, Quinnipiac tied the score and soon pulled away with key free throws from Cassidy and Misiaszek.

In the first half it was Frances Boone who led all scorers connecting on 7-of-9 from the field for a total of 15 points.  The Braves shot 56 percent from the floor and an impressive 85 percent at the free throw line en route to their 35-30 halftime lead over the Red Raiders.
