—Shauna Geronzin scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds en route to a 97-84 Canisius win over Colgate.

Jill Knapic tallied 18 points, while Jessica Butler had 11 points for the Griffins.  Daakeia McFadden scored ten points and had six steals in the game, while teammate Tricia Breznitsky dished out a game-high ten assists.  For Colgate, Freshman Malissa Burke was the top scorer with 19 points while Colleen McCaffrey managed 15 points and seven boards.  Victoria Briscoe contributed 11 points and Jaime Glenn added ten for the Red Raiders.

With the win, Canisius improves to 2-5.  Colgate loses its fifth game on the road and drops to 2-5 on the season.

Canisius was fifty percent from three-point land, making eight of sixteen from behind the arc.  The Griffs shot 53.6 percent from the field, while Colgate struggled with a 46.2 shooting percentage in the contest.

Canisius ran the floor right away in the first half as Jill Knapic buried a trey off the opening tip.  The Griffs would go on to deny Colgate the lead the entire game.  Canisius led 50-39 at halftime.
